US talk show host Oprah Winfrey says she was the victim of racism during a recent visit to Switzerland. She said an assistant refused to serve her in an upmarket handbag shop in Zurich. Winfrey, one of the world's richest women, was apparently told one of the bags was "too expensive" for her.

West African Examination Council, WAEC, on Wednesday released the full results of 1,543,683 candidates who sat for its May/June 2013 Secondary School Certificate Examination.  The number represents 91.38 per cent of 1,689,188 candidates who registered for the examination. Suspected Homosexual Pastor Faces Court In Aba

 Mr. Ndubuisi Benjamin, a 40-year-old prophet/pastor, faced Aba North Chief Magistrates’ Court in Abia on August 6, 2013, and was charged with ‘homosexual activity’. Arthur Coyle was granted $500 bail after pleading not guilty Monday in Lowell to a count of sexual conduct for a fee. Coyle is the Episcopal Vicar for the Merrimack Region, meaning he oversees several parishes in the area. He lives at the rectory of St. Rita’s parish in Lowell.
